Why Do We Write?
That's a question I often asked my students. Why do we write? We write to share our hopes and dreams, our aspirations and fears, and our ideas and knowledge.
Not everyone is a natural born writer.
Several have the desire, but not the mechanical skills and abilities. Several lack the breadth and depth and richness of language. Others just believe they have a story to tell, but in reality they lack a voice of their own and the quality of content.
Not everyone was born a writer.
This makes not mean they cannot be instructed to write well. Anyone can acquire the skills to do so. Once
I was lecturing, I encountered galore students for whom English was their secondary language. Possibly they were great communicators in their native tongue, but devising the transition to English, with all of its innate complexities, was possibly the biggest challenge of their lives. My job was to help them to discover the words to verbalize their thoughts, and to show them the basic constructs of combining those words to form the written sentence. And from those sentences came astounding observations just about the earth about us -- and galore fantastic stories.
Can You Do It As A Writer?

you have purchased this ebook to discover more just about how to sell your own ebook. There are two kinds of books: fiction and non-fiction. You either write just about that which has ne'er
happened or just about things that happen to us everyday. You are either a writer or writer or a journalist and subject matter expert.
In some
thought
print publication and electronic online publishing, the books or ebooks that sell the most are not the world's greatest stories but ebooks that share cognition and experience in fresh, compelling ways.
That may be a big disappointment for those of you who are creative writers. Sorry, but it's better to state these truths in the beginning.
This makes not mean there isn't a place for creative writing or that creative writing makes not have a market - far from it - consider the immense commercial successes of fiction writers like Author King or John Clancy or even as the classic authors of the last 100 years. However, those authors who write informational ebooks often outsell the ebooks of creative writers.
I am telling you this to better manage your expectations. You may believe that you have written the world's greatest novel. Possibly you have, but the harsh truth is it wish most likely remain uninformed
by the masses. Neither editor, nor publisher, not reader wish embrace it. It wish not rise to the top of the bestseller list. And you wish not become celebrated or affluent from it.
There are exceptions. I went to school with person who eventually became a published, best-selling novelist. His 1st and second books have done well in some
hard and soft cover, and he is now at activity on his third and fourth novels. His name is Alan Jacobson and you'll see more just about his thoughts on book marketing later on.
I cognize another authors who have done quite well, too. Their successes are but a fraction of the total number of authors out there seeking fame and fortune through publication.
